They tip over in the pool
You have bought your new robotic pool cleaner, you set it up, dump it in the pool and set it off at which point it shoots up one of the walls, falls backwards and ends up on its back, spinning endlessly but going nowhere.
They get the cord all wrapped up
You carefully spool out the cord, place it into the pool and let it go. When you come back in an hour you see a twisted mess of cable that takes you an hour or two to untangle on the front lawn.
They are a hassle to clean
You pool is beautifully clean and robotic pool cleaner has done an amazing job. One more thing to do is to clean out the pool cleaner….an hour passes and you are still trying to get the bits out from tiny places in the machine.

They miss a spot
97% of your pool is spotless, it’s never been so clean and it’s shining. The one corner however is this dark murky patch of algae and debris. And no matter how much you beg, persuade, prod or plead with your robotic pool cleaner to get this spot, it never does
They don’t get to the steps
Your pool is clean, except for the top step, it tries to get there, it really does, but it’s just a bridge too far.
They fall off the walls
There’s nothing quite as desperate as watching your pool cleaner try desperately to go up the wall always to fall off and slowly sink to the bottom again. If only it just gave itself a bit more momentum… Anyway they never get there.
